Curriculum

This is a brief outline of the curriculum that will be taught at Hicken's Lil' Chickens Preschool.

Letters: Students will learn the names and sounds of letters. This will include how to correctly write both lower and uppercase letters.  Individual assessments will be given to help track your child's progress and development.

Colors: Students will learn how to identify colors.  We will also explore patterns.

Shapes: Students will learn the names of shapes, and be able to identify them. They will also learn how to draw each shape.

Numbers: Students will be introduced to numbers, which will help them develop a deep understanding of number sense. They will learn to write and begin counting 1-20.

Other: At Hicken's Lil' Chickens Preschool I strive to give the children a happy, clean and comfortable environment where they can easily learn social skills and develop a love for learning and growth. Students will gain experience with scissors, gluing, and coloring. Students will not only learn academically, but will also have fun playing, reading, singing songs, sharing and eating snacks with their friends.  They will enjoy learning the core objectives that will prepare them for kindergarten.
